by Laura Trouille on August 28, 2014

Latest Career Profile: Carie Cardamone, an astronomer turned Associate Director at a University-based Center for Teaching and Learning. If you have questions, suggestions, advice to share, etc. about this career path, please leave a comment below or on the CSWA site.

The AAS Committee on the Status of Women in Astronomy (CSWA) and the AAS Employment Committee have compiled dozens of interviews highlighting the diversity of career trajectories available to astronomers. The interviews share advice and lessons learned from individuals on those paths. Check out Career Profiles on the AAS site for the compilation. We plan to post a new career profile every Thursday.

I’m interested in reading this career profile. However, the link here only goes to the main Career Profiles page at the AAS, and the link to Carie’s profile there accidentally goes to Alicia Oshlack’s career profile. Is Carie’s profile still to be found somewhere?

Hey Amy — thanks for pointing this out! We’re looking into it and apologies for the slow reply.

Hi Kelle,

Sorry, but this still isn’t right. The link on the AAS careers page was going to the wrong career profile, and now your link is, too. The link now sends to Alicia Oshlack’s career profile, but it should link to Carie Cardamone’s career profile. Is Carie Cardamone’s career profile available, and what’s the correct link for it?
