    Weave is handy, not least because it syncs not only bookmarks but also history, tabs, saved passwords, etc.

    I believe that Chrome’s bookmark sync uses XMPP to provide “push” updates, rather than relying on regular polling, which is neat. However, Weave isn’t tied into a Google account, which is nice.

    I’m guessing that the salary average for ‘astronomers’ in the WSJ article is not including postdocs???

    If there are only 1,240 astronomers in the US, then who were the other 2500 people at the AAS meeting?
