(Also, and unrelatedly: Hey, IDL 8.0 actually sounds like a pretty nice update! Gonna make the IDL vs. Python debate a lot more interesting, I suspect.) So presumably they can track edit histories, build up trustworthiness metrics for authors, etc. Wikipedia for the sky? SIMBAD comments. I can't tell you how many guide stars people have tried to use only to find that they are binary. Now something can be done with that information!! I wonder what other kind of information people might find useful (e.g. guide star brightness?). This content won't be published/refereed; how does that impact its trustworthiness? Wow!
