About Jessica
I am a currently postdoctoral fellow at Caltech supported by a Millikan Fellowship in Observational Astronomy. I study star formation and young stars in extreme environments within massive starburst clusters and near the supermassive black holes in our Galaxy and Andromeda. I primarily observe in near-infrared wavelengths from ground-based telescopes using laser-guided adaptive optics. I use high-resolution images for measuring photometry, astrometry, and spectroscopy of very crowded star fields.
I have converted to a python programmer for all my work. Although, in the past I used IDL extensively. In my pre-astronomer life, I was also a software engineer working with Java, HTML, Javascript, and C.
