About Jane
Jane Rigby is an astronomer who researches rapidly star-forming galaxies and active galactic nuclei, and lives in the Washington, DC area. Previously she was a Spitzer Fellow and Carnegie Fellow at the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena, California, where she also taught windsurfing for Caltech.
Jane is a Perl hacker who wishes she had time to learn Python. She wrote the “OS X for Astronomers” site, which has helped 32,000 visitors set up their Macs.
