About Jane Rigby

Jane Rigby is an astronomer who researches rapidly star-forming galaxies and active galactic nuclei, and lives in the Washington, DC area.  (She works for an institution that rhymes with casbah, which is not affiliated with AstroBetter.)  Previously she was a Spitzer Fellow and Carnegie Fellow at the Carnegie Observatories in Pasadena, California.

Jane is a Perl hacker who’s learning Python.  She wrote the “OS X for Astronomers” site, which has helped 32,000 visitors set up their Macs.
